Bánh bao xá xíu (Char siu bao / Steamed BBQ pork buns)

♥ Ingredients:
(Makes 8 buns)

Filling:
1 cup (200g) barbecue pork (Watch my video recipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POxbYoW6a4Y)
½ large onion
1½ tbsp oyster sauce
1½ tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp tapioca starch
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp roasted sesame oil
½ cup (120ml) water
½ tbsp oil
Red food coloring (optional)

Dough:
2½ cups (300g) low protein all-purpose flour
⅓ cup (60g) sugar
1½ tsp yeast
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp (15g) lard (or shortening, or oil)
½ – ¾ cup (120ml – 180ml) water

1½ tbsp muỗng canh dầu hào oyster sauce
1½ tbsp muỗng canh sốt cà chua ketchup
1 tbsp muỗng canh bột năng
1 tsp muỗng cà phê đường
½ tsp muỗng cà phê đường dầu mè
½ cup (120ml) nước
½ tbsp muỗng canh dầu
Phẩm màu đỏ

Vỏ bánh:
2½ cups (300g) bột (loại có hàm lượng đạm trung bình)
⅓ cup (60g) đường
1½ tsp muỗng cà phê men bánh mì
1 tsp muỗng cà phê bột nổi
1 tbsp (15g) muỗng canh mỡ (hoặc shortening, hoặc dầu ăn)
½ – ¾ cup (120ml – 180ml) nước
